His story

From a hit about emptiness to a new life in Christ

Mike Posner wrote “I Took a Pill in Ibiza” on his 26th birthday. It came out in 2015, became one of the biggest songs in the world, and he's said it was a sad but honest picture of where his life was.

About a year ago he got down on his knees and gave his life to Christ. Today he's sober and happier than he's ever been. In March 2026 he rewrote the song as “I Went Back To Ibiza.”
