Everything people ask about Champions in Christ Ministry, in one place.
What is Champions in Christ Ministry?
Champions in Christ Ministry is a Christian ministry for men and families founded by Super Bowl champion Steve Weatherford and his wife Laura. It helps men discover their God given identity and live with kingdom purpose through biblical teaching, coaching and leadership development.
Who founded Champions in Christ Ministry?
Steve and Laura Weatherford founded the ministry. Steve played ten seasons in the NFL and won a Super Bowl before shifting his full focus to ministry. Steve and Laura have six children.
Where is Champions in Christ Ministry based?
The ministry is based in Frisco, Texas, and holds Launching Pad events in cities including Lubbock, Texas; Tampa, Florida; and Weatherford, Oklahoma.
What is the 10 year vision?
The vision is four goals for the next ten years: see 50,000 families restored and healed through Launching Pad, 18,900 cities activated with Men's Prayer groups, 10 million first time salvations through the Freedom Council, and 1 billion people impacted with the Gospel for the first time through the Kingdom Man Accelerator, media and global outreach.
Where should I start?
Start here: join a free Men's Prayer Group, then the Freedom Council, then register free for Launching Pad. The Kingdom Man Accelerator is the next step after Launching Pad. Mighty318 is coming soon.
What is Launching Pad?
Launching Pad is a one to four day, in person transformational event for Christian men led by Steve Weatherford. The length changes from city to city; the purpose and the outcome stay the same. Men lay down the weight they carry and launch with a plan and a brotherhood. Launching Pad is free to attend. Seats are limited.
How do I join a Men's Prayer group?
Men's Prayer groups are free, weekly and local. Enter your ZIP code or city on the Men's Prayer Groups page and the team will connect you with a group near you, or help you start one.
How can I give to Champions in Christ Ministry?
You can give once or monthly on the Donate page. Churches, non profits and companies can partner with the ministry, and gifts sponsor Launching Pad events, new prayer groups and digital outreach.
How do I contact the ministry?
Send a message through the Contact page or call (972) 440-1305, or email contact@championsinchristministry.org.
How long is a Launching Pad?
Anywhere from one to four days, depending on the city. The purpose and the outcome are the same every time: men are activated physically, mentally and spiritually and leave with a plan and a brotherhood. Each city's page shows its own schedule.
Can we bring a Launching Pad to our city?
Yes. Churches, ministries and men who want a Launching Pad in their city can send a request on the Launching Pad page. The Champions team will reach out to talk about dates, a venue and partners.
How much does Launching Pad cost?
Nothing. Launching Pad is free to attend and registration is free. Seats are limited, so register early. Ministry partners and donors cover the venue, meals and materials so every man can come.
What is the Freedom Council bonus?
When you register for Launching Pad you get 30 days of free access to the Freedom Council, our private brotherhood. No credit card is required. After 30 days, staying is optional and is a $97 a month membership. It is a purchase that supports the ministry, not a tax deductible donation.
What should I bring?
A Bible if you have one, a notebook, comfortable clothes and an open heart. Your confirmation includes the venue, schedule and everything else you need.
Can my church send a group?
Yes. Request up to four seats here. For a larger group, the Champions team will seat your men together. Reach out and we will help.
Where are the next events?
Launching Pad is coming to Tampa, Florida; Weatherford, Oklahoma; and Nashville, Tennessee. See the upcoming schedule for dates and venues.
